We are looking for an Office Manager to be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of all Business Services and office operations in the Exeter office of an established Law Firm.

The Role

Our client is looking for an office supervisor with strong management skills preferably from a legal or corporate background. Responsible for:

  • Daily operational management and direct supervision of the Business Services team including reprographics, archiving and post room, health and safety and building maintenance
  • Ensuring service levels are delivered and maintained within all areas of Business Services by managing the rota effectively, ensuring cover for holidays and other absences, and also cross training. Optimise the resources across the unit
  • Work with Client Hospitality to ensure a consistent high quality client experience for reception, all meetings and events.
  • Manage the Health and Safety of the office ensuring total compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Undertake projects and initiatives as identified through the business planning process or as a result of business need, for example office moves and space improvements
  • Recruitment and performance management of the Business Services team. Set and review team objectives and development.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager / Supervisor for a corporate business services organisation, preferably a law firm
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience managing service levels
  • Proven ability to use a range of IT, AV and office equipment and understand basic IT and telephony maintenance and provide a front line local service to users.
